WHAT:
An evening of automotive conversations with a twist. Fast-paced, thought-provoking, and social, Ignite is a high-energy evening of five-minute talks by people who have an idea—and the guts to get onstage and share it with their hometown crowd. Connected through the global Ignite network, it’s a force for raising the collective IQ and building connections in cities across the globe via video streaming and archives.
HOW:
At Ignite Automotive, speakers have exactly five minutes to enlighten us – backed by 20 slides that auto-advance every 15 seconds, whether they like it or not.
As an attendee, you’ll learn about innovative concepts emerging within the industry, while networking with a diverse crowd of those passionate about the industry. As a speaker, you’ll land a platform that challenges not only the way you present your ideas, but grants you access to an audience eager to listen.
WHO:
Past speakers have included Mike Bauer, Doug Van Slembrouck, Elizabeth Briody, Nikunj Jain, Charlie Wollborg, Mohan Tanniru, Norman Witte III, James T. Low, Gregg Garrett and Bil Moore. They’ve discussed everything from electric vehicles, design, cloud-based automobiles, to solar paneled pavement.
Speaker topic submissions can be submitted at www.igniteautomotive.org and are open until Sunday, January 23, 2011.
WHEN:
Our second event, Ignite Automotive 2, will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. As part of Global Ignite Week, we’ll join over 45 events across five continents during the week of February 7-11.
WHERE:
Walter P. Chrysler Museum
One Chrysler Drive
Auburn Hills, MI 48326
Tickets are $5 and must be purchased in advance online. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the museum.
